Supporting the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center
We encourage our dear students to engage in acts of giving and kindness by participating in activities that support the efforts of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, which align with the humanitarian mission of fighting cancer.
Below is a summary of the available activities and initiatives:
• Run for Life Activity
The "Run for Life" activity is a non-competitive race organized by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation for school students. Its goal is to raise awareness about cancer, promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activity, and raise funds to support underprivileged cancer patients.
Participation in the race is coordinated with school administrations, where each student purchases a race shirt, the proceeds of which go entirely to support the treatment of patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center.
• Make-A-Wish Program
Fulfilling the wishes of children brings immense joy, especially when the child is bravely battling cancer.
The King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s Make-A-Wish program offers the opportunity to donate towards gifts that children at the King Hussein Cancer Center wish for, as part of the psychological support provided to uplift their spirits and improve their response to treatment.
• The Good Shop
Operated by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, offers a variety of gifts for different occasions, all imbued with humanitarian value. The cost of these gifts is considered a donation that directly supports underprivileged children and adult patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center.
The gift collection includes items specially designed for the Foundation and those inspired by drawings from children undergoing treatment, along with other unique gifts.
